Internship

The Romanian Parliament adopted Law no. 176/2018 on internship, which came into force and it gives host organizations the possibility to start internship based on a contract concluded directly with the intern, without the involvement of educational institutions, as has happened before in the case of practice or apprenticeship.

The duration of an internship program is up to 720 hours in 6 consecutive months, and between the intern and the host organization can be concluded a single internship contract, being possible, under certain conditions expressly regulated by the law, to conclude even more internship contracts.

The period of internship based on the internship contract is taken into consideration when determining the years of work and, depending on the case, when determining the years of work depending on the type of work. Also, the intern will receive an internship allowance for his work.
