Government Emergency Ordinance no. 50/2018 on the implementation of the Government Program “Invest In You”

Although it is in force since June 22, 2018, Government Emergency Ordinance no. 50/2018 on the implementation of the “INVEST IN YOU” government program, the actual implementation only begins these days. Following the approval in September of the Norms for the application of the Ordinance by the Government Decision no. 741/2018, Ministry of Public Finance, by Order no. 3286/2018 approved the “Program Implementation Convention” and the “Guarantee Convention” model so that the credits provided under the Program could be accessed by the eligible financiers.

Thus, young people between the ages of 16 and 26 who are enrolled in the education system or who undertake specialized courses authorized by the Ministry of National Education and, as the case may be, by the Ministry of Labor and Social Justice can obtain loans of up to 40,000 lei guaranteed by the state in an amount of 80%.
Beneficiaries of the program can also be people aged between 26 and 55, if they are included in the education system or they attend retraining and/or professional training, but they can get a credit of up to 35,000 lei.
If the beneficiary is employed during the credit contract, the credits granted under the Program may be supplemented by up to 20,000 lei.

The purpose of the credits obtained under the program is to cover the needs of the beneficiaries and their families regarding education, health, culture, sport and the need for habitat and is detailed in sub article 8 of Article 2 of the Government Ordinance.
